Democrat Pandering & Dissembling for Votes II
• Professor Jeff Jarman, WSU, opines to the local media that McCain for Vice President got to go with someone with relative inexperience. Let’s see: she held elected public office five years prior to Obama; between 1992-1996 for 4 years starting at age 28, she spent two terms on the city council; at age 32 she was then the mayor of the small town in Alaska for 6 years between 1996-2002; during 1996-2002 she was president of the Alaska Conference of Mayors; she was appointed to the Ethics Commission of the Alaska Oil & Gas Conservation Commission, an important state agency in Alaska where she exposed corruption; she has administered the state of Alaska instituting substantive changes for the last year and a half, unseating a sitting republican governor who refused to correct the problems; has toured Iraq as the commander and chief of the Alaskan National Guard while Obama just recently went there on his own nickel so he could say he had foreign policy experience; she is extremely articulate and bright even without the use of Obama’s Teleprompter; and to compete with Obama’s qualifications, she was the point guard on a state championship basketball team. Moreover, she went to the University of Idaho on her own nickel with no affirmative action involvement. If she is unqualified to be president as the liberals and Obama’s campaign assert, then Obama by comparison is also relatively inexperienced and not qualified for the position. With 142 days of Senate experience voting “present” and the No. 1 rated liberal voting record in the Senate, before hitting the campaign trail for president, Obama can not point to one policy or bill accomplishment, that he himself originated and instituted through the Senate in his massive 142 days experience. So, Sarah Palin with an 80 percent approval rating in Alaska, has a minimum of 7 and a half years executive experience and 13.5 years of elected public service experience; compared to Obama who spent 7 years as a state senator and 3 and a half as a Senator with one of the highest absentee records in the Senate, who has spent the last year and a half running around campaigning, with a total of 10.5 years of elected experience, no executive experience, and no major accomplishments he can point to. It can only be said that Obama is a professional runner for high public office.
• Does anyone doubt that Brian Williams and Andrea Mitchell are super NBC shills for the dims? Brian Williams on August 29th boomed the estimated 38,000,000 “who tuned in to watch Obama’s speech” [the fiftieth practice, and final Teleprompter reading]. I for one was minding my own business just watching the Chiefs football game at the start of the 3rd quarter, when the liberal media switched to Mile High Stadium and forced me to watch Obama’s Teleprompter read. There was another nationally televised game with the Washington Red Skins and I think Jacksonville at the time that was also changed to Obama’s Teleprompter read. In fact, all major networks were carrying the Teleprompter read, and I could find the Chief’s game not even on Fox 24. So Williams booming 38,000,000 people willingly tuning in to hear Obama’s Teleprompter read ignores the fact that millions wishing to watch their football games were forced to listen to Obama read the Teleprompter, none to happy with the forced process.
• On Wednesday, 27 August ‘08, brain dead Senator Harry Reed in fact said as if everyone should, and would, believe him: “Off shore drilling is just snake oil and quackery.” And this piece of wisdom is sufficient to get you elected Senator from Search Light, Nev. “having grown up in a home without indoor plumbing”. [Apparently, Senator Reed is outhouse qualified.]
• On Wednesday, 27 August ‘08, brain dead Senator John Kerry advised Brian Williams in some manner of rationale unexplained: “When democracy rolled out of Russia ...”, and went on to complain of the “lies of swift boating”. His problem he said was that he “didn’t spend enough money to counter the swift boating lies, and that the swift boat folks spent $40,000,000" to advertise their alleged lies. Where is it do you suspect the folks that served with Kerry on the swift boat got $40 million dollars to spend for advertising against Kerry? The high probability is that it never happened, and is just another Kerry lie, just like the criminal atrocities he claimed his swift boat companions accomplished. Perhaps they received $40 million worth of free advertising, but Kerry alleged they spent $40 million in advertising. Even if they disliked Kerry, and they were collectively rich, it’s hard to imagine they would be willing and frivolous enough to spend $40 million dollars, to advertise against Kerry. And, how much money would you have to have in order to be willing to throw away $40 million dollars just to expose Kerry’s lies. Nor does anyone suggest they were funded by the Republican National Committee.
• All during the democrat convention sundry speakers kept repeating variously that 90 percent, and at other time 95 percent, of the time McCain voted with Bush in the Senate. In the first instance, Bush doesn’t vote in the Senate. But assuming they meant voted consistent with Bush administration positions on policies and issues, then the questions become from where do you obtain your facts and were they substantive votes? The next day Neal Boortz reported there were only 21 such substantive votes and that on 14 occasions McCain had voted consistent with the Bush administrations’ position. However, on 7 of the occasions the vote was unanimous; meaning that the dims also voted consistent with the Bush administrations’ position. So, 67 percent of the time McCain voted consistent with the Bush administration, not the various alleged 90 or 95 percent, and 33 percent of the time he voted in opposition to the Bush position; while on the same votes, 33 percent of the time even the dims, including Obama, voted consistent with Bush and the Bush administrations’ position. So, is that sufficient rationale that we should vote against Obama because 33 percent of the time on substantive votes, he voted with Bush and the Bush administration position?
• The Obama folks trotted out a retired 3 star Lt. Gen. Claudia Kennedy from Army intelligence to establish Obama’s military credentials and qualifications for commander and chief. Apparently she is the dims notion of what a 3 star general should look like. Why not some existing active 3 star general commander on the ground in harms way, to praise Obama’s military qualifications? Not exactly the demonstrated substance of a fighting general Patton, who Americans would pay attention to. But bottom line, gays in the military is the dims view of what a military should look like.
