Randy Scholfield’s Political Bear Scat for the Eagle
• On Sunday August 31 ‘08 Randy Scholfield, liberal editorializing for the Eagle’s editorial staff side by side with their Crowson’s sarcastic “Mayor of Mayberry” liberal slam at the Governor of Alaska Sara Palin, asserted and opined, without ever a previous hint of reflection as to Obama’s true qualifications, thus:
“Is she ready to be president? On that crucial test, Palin (age 44, three years younger than Barack Obama) seems shockingly lacking in experience and unprepared to step up and assume duties as leader of the free world and commander in chief. ... The Republicans’ main line of attack against Obama has been his lack of experience. But how can McCain continue those attacks when he’s ready to put Palin – a political novice with no experience on the national stage and zero foreign policy experience – a heartbeat away from the presidency?”
Well, there you have the infinite wisdom of the Eagle editorial staff – liberal shills for the dims and bubble wrap protectors and apologists for Obama – evidencing such liberal fact finders and scribblers live in a world the size of their unisex johns. But lets take the facts, and the Eagle’s standards, and compare Palin to Obama’s sterling qualifications and experience.
• We should first recognize that the jobs they are running for, President and Vice President, particularly the presidency, calls for executive experience. That is why in history, more presidents were previously Governors, than Senators. So, with executive experience in mind, let’s see who is better qualified for President, Palin or Obama:
• Governor Palin held elected public office five years prior to Obama, notwithstanding she is 3 years younger than Obama. What in substance did Obama accomplish during these five years of Palin public office? Will Obama please be kind enough to tell us what publicly he accomplished between the ages of 31-36 that qualify him to be president of the United States, and playing basketball doesn’t count.
• Between 1992-1996 for 4 years starting at age 28, Palin spent two terms on the city council; at age 32 she was then the mayor of the small town outside Anchorage Alaska for 6 years between 1996-2002. During 1996-2002 she was president of the Alaska Conference of Mayors. So, for five years between 1992-1997, Palin was on the city council for 4 years and then Mayor for a year, with 1 year executive experience responsible for a budget and the elements constituting the Wassila, Alaska budget. For the next 5 years, 6 years total, Palin was obtaining 5 more years executive experience, for a total of 6 years executive experience as Mayor. Where was Obama, and what was he doing to gain qualification experience for president during 1992-1997?
• Palin was appointed to the Ethics Commission of the Alaska Oil & Gas Conservation Commission, an important state agency in Alaska where she exposed corruption. By this time Obama was serving his first elective office in the Illinois Senate, where his most significant votes were his accumulated votes of “present”. Not exactly a sterling record of qualification for president of the United States.
• Palin has administered the state of Alaska and its multibillion dollar budget, obtaining executive experience and instituting substantive changes for the last year and a half, unseating a sitting republican governor who refused to correct the problems. Said McCain upon her announcement:
“I found someone who has accomplished reform, who has accomplished and managed a multibillion-dollar budget and fought against corruption and the failed politics of the past.”
For the last year and a half, Obama has been mostly absent from the Senate creating one of the highest absentee records in the Senate, while he after only 142 days in the Senate hit the campaign trail for the presidency.
• Palin has toured Iraq as the commander and chief of the Alaskan National Guard while Obama just recently went there on his own nickel so he could say he had foreign policy experience. So, while the Eagle Obama bubble wrappers and shills for the dims assert Palin is: “a political novice with ... zero foreign policy experience ...”, they are by their assertion factually contending that touring the troops as commander and chief of the Alaskan National Guard does not count as foreign policy experience; while Obama is going to Iraq on his own nickel, representing he is going as a private citizen, to obviate and answer his lack of foreign policy experience, by claiming his trip provides him with foreign policy experience sufficient to qualify him for president. So, if Palin has “zero foreign policy experience”, upon that basis, so does Obama have “zero foreign policy experience”. And if not, what precisely is Obama’s foreign policy experience? Even the dims said that Obama selected Biden primarily because of his foreign policy experience, so that Obama could rely upon Biden for foreign policy. Why even then does Palin have to have foreign policy experience, when Obama has no more than she does, and McCain can rely upon his own extensive foreign policy experience. And, if Palin suddenly became President, she could appoint a Vice President with foreign policy experience, just like Obama is attempting to accomplish.
• Palin is extremely articulate and bright even without the use of Obama’s Teleprompter. The Obama king makers can write a speech for Obama and he can read it 50 times and then go out and read it off a Teleprompter; but Palin is articulate and bright, and needs no Teleprompter to articulate her thoughts. You will hear no brain hick-up statements like: “American is no longer, what it could be”, coming out of Palin when a Teleprompter is unavailable to read.
• To compete with Obama’s qualifications, Palin was the point guard on a state championship basketball team. Moreover, she went to the University of Idaho on her own nickel with no affirmative action involvement.
• The bubble wrap protectors and apologists for Obama and the dims can scribble their false assertion that Palin is: “shockingly lacking in experience and unprepared to step up and assume duties as leader of the free world and commander in chief”, but in the end, the American people might well determine that it is Obama who is shockingly lacking in experience and unprepared to step up and assume duties as leader of the free world and commander in chief.
• If Palin is unqualified to be president as the liberal scribbler shills for the dims and Obama’s campaign assert, then Obama by comparison is also relatively inexperienced and not qualified for the position. With 142 days of Senate experience voting “present” and the No. 1 rated liberal voting record in the Senate, before hitting the campaign trail for president, Obama can not point to one policy or bill accomplishment, that he himself originated and instituted through the Senate in his massive 142 days experience.
• So, if Governor Sarah Palin with an 80 percent approval rating in Alaska, who has a minimum of 7 and a half years executive experience , including a year and a half managing a multibillion dollar budget, and 13.5 years of elected public service experience, is unqualified; compared to Obama who spent 7 years as a state senator and 3 and a half as a Senator with one of the highest absentee records in the Senate, who has spent the last year and a half running around campaigning, with a total of 10.5 years of elected experience, no executive experience, and no major accomplishments he can point to, then Obama is even less qualified – and in fact he is – and we should elect McCain in any case. It can only be said that Obama is a professional runner for high public office, and now he seeks the highest office in the land, without sufficient qualification, that he regularly demonstrates mentally, when he is without a Teleprompter to read.

• P.S. Today the dims and their surrogate shill media Teleprompter readers started gutter snipe attacking Governor Palin upon the fact that her 17 year old daughter is pregnant and isn’t married. The disparate and despicable attack quickly backfired on Obama, and Obama was forced by the evening news to come out against such attack, having to admit in the process that his mother was 18 when he was born. And, earlier in the day, Sean Hannity, who was previously aware of the information but had chosen not to use it; was then free to advise some 20,000,000 listeners that Obama’s father and mother were not married, and that Obama’s father fathered four children with four different women, apparently unmarried to any of them. So the scurrilous attack of the snarling libs backfired big time and I suspect they will now be credited in history with running the first illegitimate candidate for president of the United States. One would think that something like an illegitimate birth would not bother the libs and dims much, since nationally something like 60 percent of the children born in the black community are illegitimate with many of their mothers on welfare. But then maybe it is because Palin’s daughter in now engaged to be married and plans to have the baby in any case, and not have the convenient baby killing – excuse me, abortion – of the “right to choose” pertinacious dims, that grates and gnaws at the soul of the main stream of the democrat party. The relentless dims could have stepped around the issue and let it lie, but the opportunity to gutter snipe their enemy was just too much for their brain dead level of communication to consider the consequences of, and they just had to lash out with their normal vitriolic attack on their enemy; except that in the end it was their own messiah Barack Apollo Obama that they harpooned through the heart. But their scurrilous attack says more about the liberal dims and their drive-by media sycophants own basic lack of principle and substance in the first instance; than it does even about the lack of merit of use of the factual issue itself.
